You've heard it before, it takes a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to effectively treat pain. It takes a village. We are that village.

We are improving access to care. We are breaking down information siloes amongst providers & patients. We are quarterbacking the care journey for those that have been forced to advocate for themselves. We are here to give Canadians in pain their life back. Born from the perils of a fragmented and inaccessible pain-care ecosystem, we are PainCare Connect.

Meet the Team


  • Founder

    Determined to fix the proverbial 'broken wheel', McKellar knew from his own experiences that more can, and should be done to help those in pain. He is passionate about creating effective, comprehensive, and accessible pain management solutions for Canadians.

    McKellar holds an Honours Bachelors of Commerce degree, as well as a Master of Biomedical Innovation degree, both from McMaster University.


  • Chief Technology Officer

    As a full stack web developer, Chris is responsible for creating software-based capabilities that provide patients and providers alike with a comprehensive system that streamlines patient data, ensures seamless communication amongst providers, and tracks patient reported outcome measures.

    Chris was the lead developer for a software educational company that was later acquired. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Guelph University.


  • Chief Medical Officer

    For over twenty years, Dr. Ali has stewarded patients towards better managing, understanding, and overcoming their symptoms of chronic pain. As a board certified anesthesiologist who also specializes in critical care and chronic pain management, Dr. Ali is an integral member of the leadership team at PainCare Connect.
